3. Professional Services & Scope
Statements of Work
All consulting engagements are governed by a mutually agreed Statement of Work (SOW) or service agreement that defines the scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees. These Terms apply to all engagements unless expressly superseded by a signed client agreement.
Deliverables
Reports, assessments, roadmaps, and other deliverables produced by Secrecy Evolution are provided for the exclusive use of the named client. They reflect the security posture at the time of assessment and are based on information provided by the client. Secrecy Evolution is not responsible for changes in your environment after the assessment date.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for: providing accurate and complete information relevant to the engagement; implementing recommended remediation actions; maintaining their own legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations; and notifying Secrecy Evolution of material changes to their environment that may affect the scope or findings.
4. CyberPeace Open Source Extension
CyberPeace is a free, open-source browser extension released under an open-source licence. It is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
- Secrecy Evolution makes no guarantee that CyberPeace will block all trackers, prevent all fingerprinting, or provide complete privacy protection in all circumstances
- CyberPeace is a privacy tool, not a substitute for comprehensive security measures
- The source code is available at github.com/SatvirMatharu/cyberpeace under its published licence
- Contributions to CyberPeace via GitHub are subject to the repository’s contributing guidelines and licence terms
For CyberPeace’s data practices, see the CyberPeace Privacy Policy.
5. Confidentiality
Secrecy Evolution treats all client information as confidential. We will not disclose your business information, security findings, or assessment results to any third party without your written consent, except as required by law.
Clients agree to treat any proprietary methodologies, tools, templates, or process documentation provided by Secrecy Evolution as confidential and will not reproduce or distribute them without written permission.
Engagements involving particularly sensitive information (e.g., penetration testing scopes, incident response) may be governed by a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) at either party’s request.
6. Acceptable Use
By using our website or services, you agree that you will not:
- Attempt to bypass, exploit, or test our website or systems without written authorisation
- Provide false, incomplete, or misleading information during an engagement

7. Professional Advice Disclaimer
⚠ Important: The information on secevol.com — including blog posts, guides, checklists, and the 7-Minute Risk Scorecard — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional legal, accounting, regulatory, or certified security advice for your specific situation. No content on this website creates a professional-client relationship. Engage a qualified professional for advice specific to your circumstances.
Formal consulting engagements governed by a signed Statement of Work do constitute professional advisory services within the agreed scope.
8. Security & Risk Disclaimer
Cybersecurity assessments, recommendations, and compliance frameworks reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. Secrecy Evolution:
- Cannot guarantee that implementing our recommendations will prevent all breaches, incidents, or compliance failures
- Is not liable for losses arising from cyberattacks, ransomware, data breaches, or system failures, even where we have provided security advice
- Assesses your environment based on information available at the time — new vulnerabilities, threats, or regulatory changes after the assessment date are outside our scope
Clients are responsible for following recommended security practices and maintaining their security posture between engagements.
9. Third-Party Services
Our website uses third-party services including Google Analytics, Tawk.to live chat, and WordPress.com hosting. We carefully select these providers, but we are not liable for outages, security incidents, or data practices of third-party systems outside our control. See our Privacy Policy Section 5 for the full list of providers.
10. Billing & Payments
- Fees for consulting engagements are agreed in advance and set out in the applicable Statement of Work or proposal
- Payment terms are as specified in each engagement agreement; our standard terms are net 14 days from invoice
- Overdue invoices may result in suspension of services and may attract interest at the rate permitted under the Ontario Courts of Justice Act
- All fees are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated
- Refund terms are governed by the applicable engagement agreement; in the absence of specific terms, fees for work completed are non-refundable
